I'm tired of people who react to a point of view or arguement and then just insult others Insults are reserved for those who lack wit... ;) It may not be 1984 but George Orwell sure did see the future . . . |

I'm tired of people who react to a point of view or arguement and then just insult others (In lack of wit we are all imperfect at times.) Everyone began some where (class background or otherwise.) Where we choose to go and how we travel is far more important. I Shall Be Released. |

I've been earning a living (working for compensation) since I left college. I'm just curious about the distinction you seem to be drawing between a person with a cap and a guitar, and a person without the guitar, are they really that different? Ala Pat Robertson? Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Airplanes have first and second class seats (although I think some of them changed it to "business class" now). I wonder if we'll ever have third class seats. Those are on the wing. ;) Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Well, I've thought about it for awhile and I have decided what class I am in. Middle class, lower end. In other words, I'm a redneck that can afford a better brand of booze. Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Well, I've thought about it for awhile and I have decided what class I am in. Let's check your claim out :o) What does a one litre (1Ltr) bottle of no-brand (no-name / white label) Vodka (38% proof / alchohol) cost you in the USA from the local super-store? |

Well, I've thought about it for awhile and I have decided what class I am in. This sounds like my driving test in America, questions like that and how much is the fine for driving while intoxicated etc. How would I know, I live in England. (I passed the test with some very good guessing. For the vodka I guess $6.99) flaming balloons |

OK, it seems to be your opinion that the person with a cap and a guitar is not a beggar. What if the person without the guitar told a humorous anecdote, would that turn said person into an comedian and thus not a beggar? What if the person recited scripture, would that make him/her a preacher and not a beggar? Methinks I've been short-changed... ;) (Nothing new there!) Snips.... $7 for a litre of Vodka.. That can't be real? The best price in the UK is about £11 ($22) Actually this gives me an idea for a new thread.. "How much does stuff (cr@p) cost you" :o) |

Well, I've thought about it for awhile and I have decided what class I am in. I don't know. We have to go to the ABC store here in Virginia. I think the last time I checked the faux vodka (Distilled in Kentucky?) cost about 10 bucks a liter. Sorry, Bourbon comes from Kentucky, Vodka comes from comes from Eastern Europe/Russia, Beer comes from Germany, Scotch comes from Scotland, and Ale comes from Ireland. Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Smirnoff, for example, basically comes from Archer Daniels Midland. Smirnoff buys grain neutral spirits (the same alcohol that is in all beer, wine, and spirits), run it through charcoal, add the water they like, and voila'! Vodka. Cordially, Rush elrushbo2@theobviousgmail.com Remove the obvious... |

I wonder if there is a way of telling which 'class' (or socio-ecconomic / educational background) people come from by what alcoholic beverages or other intoxicating chemicals they use? :o) |
