Hi Folks I just got a iMac G3 500mhz Indigo machine I loaded 10.2.8 on it but I see that no one is offering the Boinc Download for 10.2.8 anymore. Anyone have a copy they can shoot me. I had a copy on my old powermac before I traded it for a Powerbook.

Sorry, AFAIK the stock BOINC clients have required Mac OS 10.3+ for a couple of years now. If you do find a custom build that’s compatible with Jaguar—good luck!—please check the official code version that it’s based on: anything earlier than about v5.2.6 will make incorrect credit claims on this project (and some others).

So far I know has Apple made a lot of changes in the math libs in 10.3.0. SETI and some other projects had a lot of problems with the correctness of the results with <=10.2. So the decided to support only MacOs => 10.3.
Is it posible to update the system to 10.3.x or 10.4.x ?

I'd like to put tiger on it however this was the later Model with the CD-RW drive Pre Combo Drive Indigo.. :( Since finding tiger on CD is like trying to find a fart in a zaccuzi I'll try to get a copy of panther.
I really loathe these installs they are Painfully slow. At least this machine has the ram 768MB is more than ample for a 10.3 install!
