Have we scanned the hole universe now or what ;-)) ?? CPDN can have WUs that last as long as 1 year. Yes, that's normal. The current problem with no work boils down to one issue: bandwidth. (and I'm referring to intra-server bandwidth...the file-access between one server and another is too low for current requirements...they're working on it). If SETI runs enough splitters to keep up with the demand, then users are unable to download WUs quickly. If SETI decreases the number of splitters so the WUs can be pushed out to users on a timely basis...the RTS queue drains to nothing. |

Have we scanned the hole universe now or what ;-)) ?? Workunit creation is very low at the moment. If you look at Server status page it shows 20 ready to send. Seti@Home Server Graphs by Scarecrow give a better indication of what has been happening over the last week. Berkeley "Cricket" Graphs show recent server traffic in real time. The timezone on this one is Berkeley local time "Pacific Daylight Time" UTC-7. Most other timezones are shown as UTC "Greenwich Mean Time". HTH, Keith Sir Arthur C Clarke 1917-2008 |
