I am getting a checksum error on 5.27 Windows when it downloads in BOINC or trys to start running. That is all the information that BOINC gives. Anyone know what is going on? Lee |

I am getting this on three machines out of 12 KOWA, are you running Chicken's new 2.4 app? If you are, check the app_info file. He was a bit sleepy when he first posted it and forgot to add instructions for the 5.27 MB WUs. If it's not in there you can either edit it in yourself or go back to his site and download it again. He caught it fairly fast but a few of us that got it early were missing it. ![]() PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

No ... I am getting this on three machines out of 12 Try disabling your firewall for future downloads of the .exe file. I suspect the proper permissions are missing to allow you to download ".exe" (executable) files. |

I am getting a checksum error on 5.27 Windows when it downloads in BOINC or trys to start running. That is all the information that BOINC gives. Anyone know what is going on? If you be bored do this: Download file http://koti.mbnet.fi/~amon/files/setiathome/setiathome_5.27_windows_intelx86_files.zip Unzip missing files one by one to C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu Select missing file from BOINC and click retry |

Here's an app_info.xml which should accomplish that: [WARNING - BOINC has restarted without errors, and kept the right files in the folder, but I haven't yet crunched, let alone reported, any WUs with it. Use at your own risk until further testing is complete] <app_info> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.27_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>libfftw3f-3-1-1a_upx.dll</name> <sticky/> </file_info> <file_info> <name>seti_527.jpg</name> <sticky/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>517</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.27_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>527</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.27_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> </app_info> (I made the app_info from a mixture of a known, working, Chicken file, and one made by Joe Segur for testing Beta builds, so it should be good: but like I said before, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK) |

First result back that started with Chicken 2.2B, and finished with stock 5.27: reported and validated. I think you can disregard those warnings on the app_info.xml now. |
