The trucker's name is John Holmgren from Shafer, Minn. He has been 'pulled over' numerous times just so the troopers can get their picture taken with the truck. Here is a MSNBC article on it. That was a really bad day from which an unbelievable number of amazing and selfless acts of bravery shone forth. I guess that's how civilized and compassionate people balance out the tragedy.
