The ultimate meaning of life is to continue living (in terms of genes and evolution) On the philosphical level, life has whatever meaning we wish to attribute to it. In terms of the origin of life, we still don't have enough information to ascertain what, why, when, where, how - we are left with speculations and 'educated' guesses and belief systems.
