Due to the outage, and my own laziness, the theme remains the same: things you like that begin with the letter "N". Thanks for the vote of confidence Dune. As a relatively New Mod I appreciate the sentiment. However, the term "Mod" (short for Moderator), begins with an "M". It seems you have trouble following rules, but thank you for playing. |

SETI UOTD = BETA BOTD I don't know, but I'm crunching 5.27's right now. Where's that movie you use to play about Multibeam being ready? "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Home from work again... My boss has ordered a whole lot of fruit, she decided that we should have a fruit arrangement with 2 pieces of fruit each per day, but I think she ordered for 14 instead of 4 people. So take some fruit "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Today's theme is: dream vacation spots, and if you have been there yet. And thanks for the fruit Fuzzy. It makes a good breakfast. |

Today's theme is: dream vacation spots, and if you have been there yet. You're welcome, Tom. :-) My absolute favorite is Venezia, Italia. Have been there and I really hope I can go back there again. Something that amazed me when I was in Venezia was all the cats in the city. They live well, there are no cars to threaten them and they have lots of rats to catch. The Venezians treat them well because they keep the numbers of rats down. So they are every where, making life easy for themselves. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Now that I have had my morning coffee, I realize that I didn't answer my own theme! My dream vacation is skiing at Lake Tahoe. I go every year and the fact that I go back over and over again just shows how much I like it. |

Home from work again... My boss had ordered some plums which, when I saw them, all green, I thought they are acid, like green gooseberries, very astringent. (Makes your mouth shrivel up!) But today I tasted one of them and it was so sweet and delicious, so I ate a whole bunch of them. It turns out that they are Reine Claude plums, and they are de-li-ci-ous! Yummy! Well, I missed yesterday, but today's theme is how do you like your job, unpaid position or school (whatever you do to be productive). You don't have to say what it is. |

Well, I missed yesterday, but today's theme is how do you like your job, unpaid position or school (whatever you do to be productive). You don't have to say what it is. I think I have already stated that I like my job very much. It's interesting and challenging, and my work place is a very nice place. Today, my boss and I cleaned the big aquarium at the office. Click the pic It really needed to be cleaned, as you can see on the pic, it was quite green with algae. She told me a lot about the cichlids, also about the cichlids in the aquarium, that they are very old, and how they started having an aquarium, and how to keep an aquarium. We emptied 2/3 of the water, and it was easy to see how stressed the fish became of having so little water to swim in and of us rearranging it all and raking about in the sand in the bottom to have all the dirt and algae raised. We could see they got stripes, I thought it was because of the light, that we usually don't see the stripes on them in the artificial light in the lid, but the stripes are a sign of stress, I was told. Then we filled new water in and cleaned more, also to help the cleaning pump to function better. So now it's clear, it looks almost milky because of the oxygen in the water. I cleaned the lid while it was lying on the floor, so tomorrow I'll be sore in my back and in my legs, and I'll bet I can feel muscles I didn't even know I have. :-O And I still enjoy eating those Reine Claude plums she had bought for us to eat. Yummy! After work I had an errand at the pedestrianized street of my town, and there a group of Native Americans from Peru was performing with panflute music, songs, and dance. They were dressed in original costumes, and it was a really good show. I bought a cd with their music, and it's really good! I listened to it when I got home. EDIT: For those who are interested in aquariums, it's a 750 liters aquarium. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

.oO( ) Hello everybody. I'll now get ready to take a trip to the east coast of the mainland, I wonder how the weather is over there. It's very often much different than here at the west coast. Coffee's ready on the machine And a good morning for the tea drinkers as well "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

And the weather was just as nice over at the east coast, nice, sunny, and not too hot. I even went for a little walk at the pedestrian street and bought myself an ice cream cone before I went home again. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

My friend, I appeared to have missed days! Job # 1: I love. I'm outside all day and get to play with boats. So what's not to love about that! Job # 2: Crazy mad tip money, but the job is a P.I.T.A. They were happy to see a Viking ship with Vikings, for a change: Sea Stallion Viking ship sails into Dublin Tuesday, 14 August 2007 19:43 The Sea Stallion, a replica Viking longship, has sailed into Dublin Port, ending its six-week journey from Denmark. The 30-metre longship and 65 crew were met by the LE Rosin and two Dublin Port Company tug boats, which provided a ceremonial escort for the ship as it sailed into Dublin Bay and moored at Custom House Quay. The Lord Mayor of Dublin, Paddy Burke, and representatives of the Irish and Danish governments officially welcomed the ship. The Sea Stallion is an exact replica of a vessel built in Dublin in 1042. The original ship was in use until the end of the 11th century when she was scuttled to block the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark. The Sea Stallion will go on public view at Collins Barracks in Dublin before sailing back to Denmark next year.
