And now, a tribute to the Fab Four....no...not THAT fab four, the OTHER one... Good old Ron, Dirk, Stig and Barry, yup, the Rutles, the classics themselves! Their first smash hit! The start of Rutlemania! Number One! Who could forget their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show? Hold My Hand Or the smash hit from the first movie, (the black and white one!) With a Girl Like You Equally unforgettable, that first colour movie they did! Ouch! Then of course came the album and movie 'Tragical History Tour', along with all the allegations of the frequent use of Tea, wild lavish Tea parties, and Ron's 'Rutles Bigger than God' comment. Piggy In The Middle Yes, many call that the beginning of the end...but they still had some surprises in store: The first worldwide satellite transmision: Love Life And let's not forget the smash hit album 'Yellow Submarine Sandwich', with it's hit: Cheese and Onions Surely though, all great things must end...and end it did, soon after they performed on the rooftop of the recording studio in London: Get Up And Go (hahaha, Eric Idle's so freakin' awesome...these guys sound more like The Beatles than The Beatles did sometimes). |

And now, a tribute to the Fab Four....no...not THAT fab four, the OTHER one... Hehehe me too, glad you enjoyed. I love the Beatles, and the Rutles 'All You Need is Cash' movie took the right approach...just the right amount of sarcastic fun, without being too irreverant. :) |

Tommy James & The Shondells Thanks Matt, I really enjoyed that. Always been a favorite song of mine, and I'd never seen it 'performed'. :) |

Just to say something: sorry about the videoclip "Calling Baton Rouge" by Garth Brooks whose link I posted some days ago....someone erased/deleted it. It seems because of some kind of terms violation!!?? Maybe copyright? I said I had to post it because I liked it very much.It is one of the best songs by Garth Brooks. No fences. No fences. No fences. No fences....... Something else: I have just seen the new signature graphics of Seti@home. They are the best so far with that beautiful stellar background. Really smashing.Congratulations! |
