I could use some help, guys... I need a good reader to get RSS feeds. The software needn't be free, but if it's good, free is great. Mainly, I want to use it to get certain series of RSS podcast feeds. I don't really need a whole bunch of bells and whistles, just a good working model. Have you got a good RSS reader? Have you heard good things about one? Please let me know. THX |

IE and FF do it by just clicking the link but I save my RSS feeds to MyYahoo. I don't use iCast but can look it up if you still need help. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |

Thanks MrGray! I installed Google's RSS "Google Reader" and it's not bad, but it's missing a few features that I'd like. For one thing, you can mark items off as already "Read", but they stay on there. That's good and that's bad, but that's Google for you, they want you to keep everything. I was told that the dedicated RSS apps (some of them) can do more things than the html readers like Google and the ones you mentioned. I looked up popularity figures and your Yahoo reader is the most popular, by far. But I chose the Google Reader for now, because Google bought out Feedburner, which seems to have been the largest, deepest, RSS creator in the business. I may still buy their pay-for app. ;) I appreciate your help. :) |

Your welcome, The Yahoo RSS is nice because it is on the web only. And it's yours free if you get a free email account from them. I tried the Google one but it is glitchy still. I've used Yahoo for years and their spam protection is awesome. It will keep the feeds you want, no matter who owns the feed provider. :) "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." - Dr. Seuss |
