If someone wanted to destroy my post or thread all they would need to do is post an extreme image or say something most other people would not care to post. I am no prude and really do not care about bad language or lost thoughts but I so love that I have the chance to talk to people here.. One of the threads I recently posted to was killed. It was one of those threads that lived on the edge. Why the hell do some people push too far? Is it because they do not know the boundaries or is it because they simply wanted to kill the thread? He's one of youngest and most innocent posters! Just look to the left! ;) Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

It's not my personal threads.. It's more the ones I join in sometimes. I join in because Berkeley has given me the facility and more than that I wanted to. If someone wants to have this thread banned, killed, deleted, hidden or moderated all they have to do is post an "over the top image" or say something that even the most annoying of me would not say. Do you know how blooming annoying it is to spend my time typing my usual cRuddy responses to a thread only to find the thread was killed whilst I was trying to respond? So why the hell do they not kill my thread and kill every thread I ever posted to prior to me posting? Some of us push the boundaries because we are not the perfect creatures. Some of us push the boundaries because if we do not do this those in power forget we are here. Oops.. I forgot.. Some of us push the boundaries because These Are OUR Boundaries to push.. Members or modulators that push too far end up with nothing.. I want more. (Oooh look.. there is a bird to chase.. hehehhe.. Can I have some sweets please.. ) |

Do you know how blooming annoying it is to spend my time typing my usual cRuddy responses to a thread only to find the thread was killed whilst I was trying to respond? Yes I do cRunchy. I think I know what you are trying to say here. You are in mid conversation posting in a thread which is shattered by somebody, perhaps a member posting something which causes hide notices, or a moderator hiding posts for the wrong reason, and maybe not even unhiding them because they don't want to admit they made a mistake. I understand mistakes are made, on all sides, but people just don't realize how frustrating it is when they kill someone else's conversations. Just take a take a breath before hitting the post buttons or hitting those hide buttons. Please. flaming balloons |

Well, Qui-Gon does apologize for mistakes, so that is a positive sign. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

I wasn't refering to mod's only. If people do not like what I say then all they have to do is step over the mark and my post will be pulled. How To kill A Thread: Be a bad mod or poster. Dislike the poster and post something no one would ever accept. Post any old rubbish.

But the thing most folks want the moderators to apologise for was not, in my opinion, a mistake. And I have said so to those involved. I'm not Mike :o) but the point is valid for everyone. It's politics and sometimes we say sorry not because we did something wrong but because we are sorry that the other person was hurt or effected by what we did. I often say sorry but I do not always mean I did something bad.. I am often sorry because I know I can be a royal pain to others in the pursuit of what I think might be good.. It's quite a British thing to say 'sorry' and 'thankyou' so much but few understand that these have two sides. Did I miss the point? Sorry :o)))) |

Did I miss the point?I don't think you did. My comment to Mike was merely an aside. |

Just take a take a breath before hitting the post buttons or hitting those hide buttons. What would be nice, is a moderator apologizing, when they are wrong, but they don't. And, some mods involve themselves into postings with too much feelings. Mods need to be neutral, and for the most part, most have been, and others have not. @ cRunchy, very good wording. :-) Your posts are awesome. |
