I can't get the list to display by RAC. It keeps flipping to total credits. DB index needs to be rebuilt?

??? As far as I can see, RAC is the only way the list is displayed.......
When I pull it up, the total credits column isn't sortable. Are you looking at the Seti site stats, or a 3rd party site?

What I see today is the first page sorted by RAC. When I go to the second page, computers 21-40, they are sorted by total credit. When I hit the link to sort by RAC on that page, it goes back to the first page, computers 1-20.

Ahhhh...verrry interesting. I was only looking at the first page. Tis a little convoluted when looking further. A little code fix would be in order I think.

I think the point was you used to be able to sort and then display the whole list by either. The top Participants list still works correctly (or so it seemed).

What I'm seeing now is it only displays by RAC.

IIRC, previously if you navigated into the list and then changed the sort mode it always jumped back to the first page.

I was going to suggest that, while someone's looking at stats page code, they might find out why I get some foreign language(s) version when I visit there .... BUT ... It's not doing that for me today, perhaps someone HAS been fiddling :D

I get the same results as Pam. I cannot page or jump to where my system should be when the list is sorted by RAC. I keeps switching to a sort by total credits when I leave the first page and if I ask it to sort by RAC, it goes back to the first page and the trouble starts all over . . .

LOL....

My conspiracy thoery of the day is that fixing that issue is what caused the webserver to go poof last night. ;-)

Also the random language effect wasn't just limited to the stat pages.

You're right!!??

I must have had some kind of transient broswer issue or something. I cleared my browser cache and tried again and am now getting what you are, and the random languages again.

May be related to the coding bug/error/corruption that trashed the site yesterday?

When clicking on "Next 20" you see that the sorting changes ---> http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_hosts.php?sort_by=total_credit&offset=20

For what reasons ... well unknown.
Previously it was --> http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_hosts.php?sort_by=expavg_credit&offset=20

That all makes me wonder why those experiments allways have to be applied on weekend.

Why ? Why ? Why ?

P.S. I'd prefer that those code "tweaks" would happen on monday...

Agreed. I was playing with it a little, and if you 'build' a link yourself and send it you can get it to work properly. The webserver will send the correct page back in response sorted either by RAC or TC, with and without offset.

So it would seem like the logic which sets up the appropriate navigation links for the current page is messed up.

And of course, the language problem is still there. ;-)

However, look on the bright side. Last weeks Friday adventures lead to work outage for all intents and purposes, this was a mere inconvenience by comparison. :-)

Yeah, last fridays "code experiments" were worse... however still there's the question why playing with the code on friday... it's kinda obvious that it's been the case the last couple of months to do experiments with code /users on friday... (wich is stupid !!(or am i the only one seeing absolutely no logic in that one ?) , except that is what was intended to do, annoy the users)

Well again ... why ? why ? why ?

Hey Brock, how goes it? Did you check out my E6420? Got it up to 3.0 Ghz. Not bad for a $170 chip.

Hi hiamps, it's going well. I've set my X2 back to the stock 2.2GHz for the summer (room runs hotter in summer).

I'm hoping to build a new system this summer. I'm looking at the E6420 too. What mobo do you have it in?
