If I find an alien signal when i search with "Boink Manager v5.8.16", will the proggie tell me in some sort of way? Like a popup window with the text "possible signal found"? Or will i dont know anything? /Patrik |

Nothing so simple realy:-( But if you get BoincLogX and Seti@home MapView you will get a lot of info, and after a while you learn to interpret them. Let's say that you get a good triplet with a strength of at least 11 and a gaussian running well over 6 in rating. Well then you might have something, but probably not. Remember that this is a search that might take many many many years to complete. Carl |

After all the down time in the past week or so, my machines (I'm running 4) finally are crunching again. Today when I checked SETIMAPVIEW I found a new high scoring Gaussian on one of the newer jobs. Score was 26.46+! 10 points higher than my previous best. Anyone else got a big one? BigEfromLC Searching for intelligent life in Lake City FL for 26 years w/o success. |
