Dear SETI.

I heard some time ago thats it's possible to build a relatively cheaply a reciever to collect your own data. True or not? if so any ideas? Google hasn't helped...

Advice / links etc, would be appreciated.

As for the wish list, I wish it was possible for newbies to start new threads without having to have an unspecified amount (!) of credit. Judging by the volume of irrelevant post the idea of needing a minimum credit to prevent abuse clearly isn't working.

Cheers

I remember reading a discussion about an observing grid. All of the backyard telescopes pointed at the same place at the same time to generate a very large base line array telescope. I am not certain exactly where, or the current state of this.

Hi Temujin

Thanks for the Google tip, I tried SETI league before posting but it was blockled by my work filtering service. To find an alternative source of info I posted here. As I write I'm on th phone trtying to chase up the filtering again!

John, thanks for this info, I'll follow it and see where it goes.

So for the time being the question still stands.
