Here is a post of some new Images. I started this thread because it seems NEW images are coming to us all the time.

Feel free to add a decent sized image (one that does not get bigger than the thread).

These are the NEW 2-D images of the Sun taken in March of 2007 (recently released on Monday April 23, 2007).

The 3-D images can be found here.

pictures like these remind me of the sun's overwhelming beauty - normally we just enjoy its heat and light without actually glancing at its surface... thanks for the pics! very nice!

I find it interesting that although you cannot stare directly at the sun, you can at the moon, evn though the light of the moon cames from the sun.
