I red-x'd you Rush. Your soon to be my only ignored member on the SETI forums. Congratulations. At least I won't have to watch you hijack this thread any more. I will miss your political babel, though.

Do as you wish, I couldn't care less.

I encourage anyone who believes, as I do, that Rush argues for the sake of arguing, to join me in a happier place without Rush's bad karma. We can always watch him on the Dr. Phil show in the near future. Interpret that.

OK: ride on, Don Quixotes, ride on.

Oh stop whinning about Rush !! Acknowledge your superior !!!!!

The newest film by Jose Escamilla featuring John Lenard Walson's incredible starships filmed through a telescope.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8tIqpGLCuo

That very much looks like looking through a poorly focused microscope!

Some of the earlier frames look vaguely similar to telescope video shots of the ISS. However, note the 'giveaway' refocus and desk vibration on the images later on in the vid...

All good fun!

From the "Rush" 'style of reply', looks like he'd be damnably good at Bible thumping to prove that the Earth is indeed flat and that you can fall off the edge!

Discuss on another thread? ("Flat Earthers?")

New videos:

SOHO Sun telescope captures UFOs

I'll just comment on the first of the list...

The "blinding white flying saucer UFOs" there are very typical of bright objects passing close to the sun that saturate the CCD imaging sensors. You then get a very characteristic 'bleeding' of white horizontally or vertically across the image proportionate to how 'overexposed' the object is.

The bright objects can reasonably expected to be solar system lumps of whatever. A real giveaway would be if the objects radically changed their orbit... Has that ever been seen?

For the sake of clarification, not arguement:

No 'argument' other than providing for a good discussion.

ML1 and I went round and round on the STS-75 NASA footage. After I showed the so called, "Ice Particles", clearly passing behind the tether he would continue to say he didn't see it!...

The only clarification there is that I did indeed see what was shown on the images. The difference is in the interpretations.

One view is that assuming the image was properly focused, then indeed the various randomly moving objects appear to pass in front of and behind the image of the tether. A more plausible view is that the particles are close to or inside the lens system, very out of focus, and so 'merge' blurred with the image of the tether. The tether image is brightest and so overwhelms the fainter blurred images. Hence the fainter images 'appear' to pass behind the brighter tether. You can test this effect for yourself here on earth.

- The End -

For all except the Bible thumpers!

Still an interesting discussion and some good examples of what can be done with pictures and video. The Haiti hoax was most excellent!

Regards,
Martin

Very good giggle and some good games with physics.

It is spoilt only by the hocus-pocus that is wrapped around well known and well understood "high-school physics" effects. Sprinkled with some even more fabulous fiction.

At least it looks good.

Now, can anyone explain the tricks in there?

1: Levitating objects;
2: The oval-ish piece of plastic that spins one way only;
3: The stack of bouncy balls that rebound the top ball far higher than was originally dropped;
4: A powerful magnet dropping at different speeds through the two tubes;
5: A real flying saucer ascending on a beam of light (if I guess right on that teaser example).

Oh... And you just got to buy (into) their DVD (not!).

Oh #2: They got the list of fundamental forces wrong. There are four known, not five.

All a good giggle,

It's called the Hutchison effect, and a lot of people, including David Serada have watched it being demonstrated.

#2 Correction, the official belief is that it is four now... That does not mean that it is four. It could be 5, or even 6...

Looks and sounds like a "Yuri Gella" wannabe! Note how none of the assumed effects have ever been replicated...

Those extra forces are indeed being looked for. There's no science yet to say whether or not they exist.

Note that of the fundamental four forces, mangnetism is just one of the manifestations of the electromagnetic force/effect. Magnetism is NOT a fundamental force itself.

The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. We have over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses testifying to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret.

OK, so #1 is a simple hoax. However, #2 through to #5 are all 'for real' and are reproducible.

Well, at American Antigravity there's a documentary 40 min video by Harold Berndt where the Hutchinson effect is reproduced. And yeah, the Hutchinson effect doesn't work every time, but as you can see in the video, he have very old instrument ( ex military instrument sold on auctions, or something). If he had used state of the art equipment maybe the Hutchinson effect could be reproduced 100%.

From wikipedia
Canadian inventor Mel Winfield says that it was solely through his theories that The Hutchison Effect came into being. He has published evidence including signed contracts, letters, and communications from John Hutchison himself on his website. [citation needed]

[edit] Military interest

According to Hutchison and a high ranking military officer from the United States[3], military scientists from the United States have been working with him because of the effect's military potential. In the documentary Free Energy: The Race to Zero Point, he states that military scientists were impressed with the effects, but were not able to replicate them on their own without assistance.[4][5][6]

Hutchison later accused the military of co-ercing the Canadian government into seizing his lab so that it could be passed on to Lockheed Martin Skunkworks for research purposes. Journalist and author Nick Cook later wrote that this had been confirmed by a high-ranking friend of his in the Skunkworks.[7] Boyd Bushman, retired Lockheed Martin senior engineer, later confirmed that this was true in an interview in Nick Cook's book The Hunt for Zero Point.[8]

There's an interview (from coasttocoast am) with Hutchinson with more info.
