I don't think Nasa has the correct temperature for the sublimation point of dry ice. Wikipedia says it's -78.5C (-109.3F)

It's frozen water not dry ice Clyde.

The picture posted looks like the north pole.

Massive ice deposits found on Mars

Scientists say that there is enough water in the deposits to cover the entire planet with up to 36 feet of water if the ice was to melt. Some sections of the ice deposits are up to 2.3 - 2.5 miles deep. The ice is composed of carbon dioxide, a little bit of dust, and water (90 percent of the water is estimated to be frozen).

It is indeed mostly water.

Tiki, the site "Pia02393" linked by Haba says the following: ...south polar cap remains cold enough that the polar frost (seen here as white) consists of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide freezes at temperatures around -125° C (-193° F). Mid-summer afternoon...

Did NASA goof? I don't know.

The presence of water was my interest.

NASA's site says water...In the link I provided its a source. But they don't really know until they get physical samples and analyze them.
