Hi, if I was going to buy a system today for about 2k what should I buy that would generate the best seti results? CPU? Ram? Hard drive? A premade system recommendation would be nice if you have one.

Thanks!

For about $1500 or a bit less, you could build a XQ6700 quad core, Mobo, 2 gig Cosair DDR2 667 RAM(I would recommend 4gig however) , 120 Gig HD, 420W PSU, cheapo case, Win XP-64 For SETI you won't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse.

This one - still RACing up - was built for less than $1300.00
