Macpro Mac OSX Boinc 5.4.9
Under Tasks there are 3 each labelled Activities suspended.
Under Messages it says

Suspending network activity- user is active.

I've closed all other applications, restarted, closed and opened Boinc, but no difference.

Suggestions, please

Go to the Projects tab and try hitting Resume for the ones that are suspended?

Just a thought since I am not sure what the Mac interface looks like.

Sir, would it be ok if I moved this over to the NC forum...you might get a better response...the gurus hang out over there...

Alternatively, you could just post this question again over there...

Dave, Check to make sure that the second box in your General preferences is checked as "Yes". Scroll down to where it says Edit preferences to make a change. If you continue to have the problem then please post back here.

The reason for this is that your computer may be thinking you are working on your computer, and has therefore suspended all activity. It is a 'bug' which I've seen elsewhere and also experienced myself. I took the quick and easy way out and aborted the WUs and reinstalled that BOINC manager. (Probably caused by a virus checker hitting active data.)

TNX for the help and advice.
All's well. Changed to 'Yes' and it's resumed!

Just like to add to this thread that I was experiencing the same issue and did a keyword search here about the problem which pulled up this thread.

I looked at the preferences as advised, and to my surprise found the second box was marked 'no', despite having set it to 'yes' originally.

It is as though the preferences had changed themselves.....

The programmers have been working on the preferences for a while now, I am sure things got reset several times trying to fix the problem.
I have 22 machines and it happened on one of them, the rest are fine.
