thay are all an optical illusion;

Susan, Photobucket is not quite like a real bucket. You have to leave the photo where it was after you have poured it into the forum.

You mean I shouldn't delete it after I have used it?

Exactly. What you paste into your post is the address of the picture stored in Photobucket. If you delete the photo, your link shows the "this has been deleted" replacement instead.

You can (I assume) put the picture back where it was and the links will work again.

Also, you don't need the extra img tag which is appearing in your posts.

Good luck!

I'm not sure if I need to put the picture back. If I don't delete it I can use it again can't I? And I don't need to type in [img] at the beginning then?

Susan, you are only placing a link to your image here, your image will always be in your photobucket account, and no need to add anything else, just copy and paste what you see at photobucket... Good luck!

Correct. For new posts, you can just put your picture in Photobucket and copy the line they give you without your extra img tag. Then leave the picture alone!

I was also thinking how you could restore the pictures in posts you have already made. If you put the same picture in Photobucket again with the same name, the link you have already pasted should work again.

(Edit) Each link you paste corresponds to a _different_ picture. You can have lots of pictures in Photobucket at the same time.

Yes, you can use it again, providing the name of the file is exactly what it was befoe. After you upload it in Photobucket, hit the "refresh" F5 button on your keyboard.

No, you don't need to type [img]. The fastest way is to highlight the "IMG" window under the pic itself, then ctrl+c to copy it. And then, in general paste it (ctrl+v) to where you want it.
