On both of my Macs (set to work only when not used & network activity always available), the boinc screensaver runs for about only about 45 minutes when not used. Every morning, the same... 45 minutes completed overnight. I'm completely confused why it stops, it just doesn't make sense... because it should run all night... there should be about 8 hours completed there! Argh~ Also, boinc keeps on fetching prefs from a project I no longer use (detached). How do I keep it from doing that??? I would like it to get the prefs from the projects I'm currently running (like seti), but I don't know how to tell it to do that. I've also tried the project manager, but it seems useless. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated ^^ . Thanks ^_^ ! |

Argh~ Could it be that your system going to suspend after 45 minutes ? Are at the MacOS system preferences / Energy saving / System is on Power Supply / Suspend after 45 minutes set if the system is idle ? - Sorry did not know the excatly english terms, because I did not have an english MacOS. - If yes, set this to never.
You could try to change the preferences on SETI, and do a update projects with the boinc manager. The boinc client takes the preferences from the project which was last changed. |
