That should be about 6 pm eastern time US then right?

My head is smoking. Could somone help?

English time should be 5 hours ahead of eastern us time so that means that 6pm (18-00) would be 23:00 brit time...and I think Germany is one hour ahead of that?

This could be wright. My Win sceduler told me, too.

Thank you Sänger. Warum bin ich nicht auch darauf gekommen? So sieht das ja sehr einfach und logisch aus.

Damed. From this side it looks very easy.

Ahhh! But that's the trouble in general about good taste. It requires exposure to something better, before people learn that there IS something better. Hopefully, since people are not spending all of their time in the stadium, they'll get a chance to try some real German beers. All those who do, will probably never go back to the old 'pisswater' again. :-)

Read this article in Der Spiegel about american fake-Budweiser and Czech real stuff.

From the articel concerning Annheuser-Busch:
A first sip:

"It's cold," Novak ventured, helpfully. "But it is missing, um. I don't know how to say. It is missing ... um, yes. I miss the, uh, typical taste of beer.

And Budweiser:
"I've drunk Bud my whole life, and this tastes better," he said after a gulp or two. Then he paused. "Hell, this is warm, and it tastes better. Try this, Rex."

I'm not sure what the US brewers are doing, every time I've heard an American speaking of beer, they eventually look at me and say, "oh, you've got the real stuff!" Or something similar, so how come the US brewers don't kick the flavour up a bit? Sad really, it can be done and still keep the alcohol down to 4.4% by volume. Although the 5.2% is way betterer.. er. Hic.

The more I think about it, I don’t recall any American extolling the virtues of the US Brewers.

Anyhow, if we're all getting excited about Australia’s success in the World Cup, join our team for the duration :-)

Mike, this is very untrue nowadays. There have been numerous great beer brewers cropping up in the USA for the last 10-15 years....Unfortunately they are too expensive to export.

Please taste a glas of Bud and then a glas of german beer. (Please do not use Becks). And you will smell the difference. :-)))
BTW, there are mor than 5.000 brewers in this little country named germany.
And the german football fans are not happy about, that they can only get Bud in the stadium. It´s like, you come to Japan and will get south african sake.

They're playing Poland in Dortmund tonight, right? They should have an easy win, Poland is two losses for two games so far. :-)

YES! That was very spirited play.

That was a nice crossing pass from Odonkor, too. (sp?)

So........any views on the World Cup so far?
Today it is reported that in the UK there will be a 20% absentee rate.
Wonder if the England team will actually win a match or will Trinidad win it for them?

So what? With this the 2 winners of this group are fixed, and it's a real "final" for the group victory on 20/06/06.
