Those two lines tell me, and others, only a little, was it in response to auto or manual action.
Have you received any enhanced v 5.12 units yet?
Are you running optimised version of 4.11/4.18? if so;
set Seti to no new work.
process all units in cache, manually update to report units.
Exit BOINC
go to project/seti folder and remove app_info.xml
Restart BOINC and allow work for Seti.
If NO work is now received reset project.

If all else fails detach/attach.

I guess i found the reason already by having another intense search in the board... i am using crunch3r, and it was said that it is not compatible with the s@h enhanced wu... so there is said to be a crunch3r enhanced? don't want to run without it since my old laptop needs a day for 3 wu than... but on the other hand it is said, that crunch3r enhanced is not really finished yet... working, but there will be a new release soon...
Maybe this is the problem (crunch3r), so i will have to get a newer version... if you think that this is not the problem, just post it :)

Normally resetting is good enough...

But, resetting will not remove app_info.xml, to accomplish this you must either detach/re-attach, or manually delete app_info.xml

This answer is no. I got some of the 4.18 just this AM.

I suspect the way the queue works is what is like a queue line, if enhanced is sitting there ready to send when you come through, and can not accept it, it will give you no new work, and then give it to the first person who can accept it.

I also want to say I stopped BOINC, deleted the app*.xml and just left things alone. This allows the crunch3r app to still run and the new one to run. It did not download a new app. Even after a reboot. So the old ones are still optimized, and I do not have to worry about the no new work.

And be sure to put the standard SETI app back in or it will ruin any work in the folder. Best to get a new app_info that will use the enhanced and optomized applications to replace the cuttent one with.

Or if you still have some work you can just wait for more of the old units.

OK, time for me to wake up and get something to eat.

Have you tried the combined app_info that allows you to use both enhanced and optomized on the same system? That is working out good, so you can use which ever SETI is sending at any time.

Occasionally a reset is needed, that is why they have a button for it. But I have neever had to use it, could be that this time you need it.

I did not reboot after, I just mentioned the files kept working even after a reboot.

I just stopped BOINC, deleted the app_info.xml file. Restarted BOINC, and let it work. Nothing was lost for me. It automatically downloaded the enhanced and associtated files, kept the crunch3rs app and is continuing to use it. This is on 7 different machines, and none of them hiccuped at all.

Yes but it's set to not recieve new work. Give me a bit and I'll allow it and see if it gets any.

it appears you've set a 90/10 seti to einstein preference. It's feels it's time to run einstein, and is trying to download work from them. In this case it won't request any seti until it balances your resource share, or runs completely out of work. Then it'll get work from seti, but not before. You could "suspend" einstein, and get seti work, but that's just fighting what you've asked the scheduler to do.

Resource share is balanced between the two 50/50 I control it by using the suspend option. None of my Einstein work is due before the 17th. I still complete it all early but due to some points competition I manipulate when it(Einstein) runs.
