I would like to be able to distribute my projects resource sharing in the client program. This way you don't need to spend time through several websites to set the right values in each project. Also this would allow to have different priorities in different computers. Also I would like that the resource sharing was working in different way. I'll try to explain. Right now, if you have 33% Seti@home, 33% Predictor and 33% Climate prediction it would take one month processing a single CPDN unit :( . During this month it would not process any Seti or Predictor wus (so no credits). After that it would spend two months processing Seti@home and Predictor. If would be better, I guess, if BOINC was able to process 33 minutes of Seti@home, 33 minutes Predictor and 33 minutes Climateprediction (minutes or hours) saving the current process of each unit and resuming when going back to that project. I know it could take 3 months to process a single Climate unit ... but it's not our fault that they make so big wus ;-) |

CCv4.xx works as you describe. It works well if the computer is fast enough and deadlines are long enough. It still has problems with slow computers and fast deadlines though. John Keck BOINCing since 2002/12/08 |
