Hiya again, I have a Dell LAtitude D600 with 1.6GHz Pentium-M Dothan 2MB L2 Cache... Now, what is the better seti optimized for a faster crunch time, I´m taking from 75 ~ 90 minutes per WU. Best Regards, Rafael Valente |

First, if you don't know what level of SSE your processor will support, get CPU-Z which will check your cpu and show what level of SSE it supports. CPU-Z is a free download. Make note of that SSE level then goto here. At the bottom of the page are the Windows programs. Pick the one that matches your processor SSE level. I suspect it will be the Pentium M SSE2 version and be sure to get the one on the left side for the latest version. Read carefully the installation instructions also. Good Luck! [edit]Make sure you have adequate cooling on that Laptop![/edit] Boinc....Boinc....Boinc....Boinc.... |

I stall the Pentium-M SSE2 Client and still waiting for the results, but I can see that is faster... around 0.14% in 5 seconds, before was 0.06 / 0.07 %. I'll post later the difference.... Thanks a lot! Best Regards, First, if you don't know what level of SSE your processor will support, get CPU-Z which will check your cpu and show what level of SSE it supports. Why this Dothan is so fast Crunching? It´s faster than my Desktop P4 3.0GHz HT @ 3.3GHz. My P4 also have 2 MB L2 Cache. WOW! I crunch in 43 Minutes the last WU!!!!! =) Best Regards! Conclusion : |

I'm running a Pentium M 750 (Dothan core) and it takes about 30 to 32 min per WU using Crunch3r's SSE2 app. How about that ;-)? Greetings uba36 ![]() |
