I have only been a member for about a week but my data doesn't seem to have updated for 5 days on the various sites (knights who say Ni, Boinc stats etc) how often do they update.

I did change the email address on the account but surely that shouldn't affect the account name which is the same.

Any hints?

The frequency of updates is dependent on the statsite itself and how often a projects stat page is updated.

Your E-mail address is the most unique component of your project account and with along with your cross project identification code is used to identify and unify the projects you are connected to. Your user name is irrelevant to the projects themselves. There are more than a dozen people using my name on Seti alone.

All stats sites get their data from an XML feed at seti, which has been OFF for roughly 3 days or so. This should explain it.

Welcome to boinc

tony

I'm not sure but I think seti updates either once or twice a day usually

The stat sites can only update after they recive the XML states from the projects. Each project varies on when they update the xml states that the other sites use.

I see that the other projects CPDN, Rosetta, Ect. are updateing regularey, but for some reasion it has been almost 4 days for SETI. SETI usually updates the XML stat's every day. Going this long it must be a problem with one of there servers or they turned the scripts off that produce the XML stat's.

This effects all the states sites, all shoud update SETI at about the same time after they get the new xml stat's.

That's a wise choice. Especially since we all have no other option. Emails have been sent to mgmt. Griping has been done on the fora. There's nothing left to do but wait. LOL

Has word leaked out yet as to whether it is an unknown cause, turned off on purpose (for some reason) or a side effect of updating the MySQL version on 16th. Surely it can't be the MySQL update because we've received stats since 16th haven't we?

I'd put the 18th as a great candidate - that was the last time Boincstats had anything new for me.
