I just updated an XP box and a server 2003 box with the latest update from Microsoft and now it seems that neither machine will connect to BOINC.

Has anyone else had this problem or is it just a me?!

try a hard boot, not just restart

That seems to have worked though it took restarting the BOINC manager once the XP box booted back up.

Will post again if it keeps acting screwy.

The windows update probably disturbed the ports assigned to boinc. hopefully the reboot fixed it
