Fuzzy - i am aware - all too well - of the 'inconsistencies' with said data - more direct (to the Point) over the Years - whenever i have gone into Threads regarding 'Number of Years / Joined, ETC) there have been many a 'flame' that took place regarding "My Posting" in a thread as such - because they usually would look @ my date (under the avatar) and then tell me that i joined on that date . . . "somebody" has this matter (for the first time in many years) - on their LIST To-Do . . . |

You can still attach that old account to your new account if you know the email address of that account. Great, it worked :) Thanks, Michael! |

I'm sorry nobody, I don't understand what you say, not can I see your problem. Maybe you could explain your problem better to that person from the admins, you usually are in contact with? I'm sure you can get your point through better that way. And you asked: Q. 1 . . . When did you start with SETI, Originally? which I already have answered earlier in this thread, so I linked to that post, since you are so eager to know. What date I joined Seti Classic, I don't remember and I don't really bother to look it up, but it was very few days before I joined here, as I only crunched 71 Classic WU's and some of those were only because Seti BOINC was down for so many days back then. I guess you remember those days well, or did you come over here first after Classic shut down? "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ![]() |

Fuzzy - Yes i did come 'from SETI Classic' and the 'Problem' has been corrected by Berkeley (see my last Comment below yours). The old days saw many a problem - including the loss (on my part) of a lot of WU's - which i may point out again - i have / had NO Concern regarding) safe the fact that my Concern was whether or not the Science was being effected / affected in some way. This matter is is now 'resolved' - in Respect to that which i have been asking - why the date - under my avatar - 'said' February 20, 2003. No longer a matter to discuss - since it's 'fixed' by Berkeley . . . |

I started with SETI in '99. 1st pc then and I had decided to leave it running 24/7. Saw an article about SETI and distributed computing. Haven't looked back and have learned much about hardware. Just passed the 3/4 million mark which is good. Stuck with SETI classic to the grim end. In hindsight don't know if this was a good move but as previously said here the credits aren't going to buy anything. Used to enjoy the seti usenet groups. IMHO boinc fora don't have the same 'feel' or friendliness, but I am no expert and visit infrequently. I'm just a farmer. Farmer as in bits of land that one tries to wrest a living from. Good luck and long may SETI keep going |

Who here has the lowest/oldest one? :-) My date of November 2000 is correct, but check out Eric Korpela's join date of 13 December 1901. In researching Eric Korpela's join date of 13 December 1901, I came across an intersting link with missing/long-time Seti@home users. Here it has Eric's join date at 24 November 4714 BCE. The prevailing theory is that he's been replaced by an identical alien robot. |

Who here has the lowest/oldest one? :-) I wondered how long it would take before some of you others figured him out. ;-D "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ![]() |
