I have noticed that some PC's with pretty much same hardware takes half of the computing time as mine,

My PC

Other PC (example)

Both have pretty much same integer and floating point speed. Can any one help me out with this ?

A couple of things:

1) The benchmark speeds measure CPU performance ONLY, and there are other things (such as L2 cache) that can affect crunch times but aren't reflected in the benchmarks.

2) Some people run optimized clients. The science app is open source, and people have gone through the code and tweaked it for speed. More info is available here, in the Wiki. Given that the enhanced application is going to be coming out Real Soon Now (tm) and it will make the current optimized applications obsolete, I'd suggest running the standard client for the time being. Once the new application is out and the optimizers have had a crack at it, it may be worth moving to an optimized application for your OS and hardware.

Happy crunching,
Brian

Compare the "Result ID" of your and the others. I suspect they are running an Optimized Application which cuts WU completion times substantially, 1/2 in the case of my AMD64's

Yoascw W r7 is the right one for your particular processor

Marisan webite, which hosts TMR Optimized apps

You need an optimised Seti appliation. Try Marisan's Site or look for crunch3r he has some also. And there are post's such as Wanted Optimised Client.... you could read.

I think he's 100% invested in the Wiki

Um, shares?

The Wiki software I use is Open source, along with a MySQL database. I use a comercial provisioner as the host ... since not that many people seem to read anymore the bandwidth I have is more than enough ...

As far as investments goes, I am heavily invested in shares on the stock market, yes ... but none in a Wiki only company. I prefer mutual funds ...

Not sure if I answered the question or not ...

I installed optimized program on my pc, seems like computing time was cut in half, but now I lost visual graph, (iow, Show Graphics button is grey), is that normal ?

Yep, that's normal. The graphics slows the workunit numerical processing, so it's not supported in the optimized application.
