climateprediction.net had a very succesful Open Day on 30th July, 2004. For those who couldn't be there, or who would like to revisit some of the talks, they are available below. Unfortunately we can't distribute Dave Stainforth's results talk until some of the figures have appeared in a refereed journal very interesting, also an Interview with Dr. David Anderson, Seti and BOINC http://www.climateprediction.net/project/openday.php Greetings from Germany NRW Ulli [/url] |

Very interesting stuff. You can also get a glimpse of the cool screensaver/visualization they have made in "Demonstration of CPDN and BOINC". |

What time will the CPDN shift to the BOINC platform? |

> What time will the CPDN shift to the BOINC platform? I read on their forums somewhere that the beta would be open at the end of this month. It's currently running as a private alpha test. --- Jabber Status: |

It sounds a good news. I can do more thing by using BOINC, especially when the SETI@home project is down. |

Well.. there's a catch to that... when CPDN does move to boinc, they will be running on the boinc 4.x platform which won't be compatible with the boinc 3.x platform (Seti2 / predictor). We'll have to wait for everyone to upgrade to the 4.x platform before we can share CPDN with seti2 / predictor. --- Jabber Status: |
