Just checked my "boinc" account. It still has not been posted since "March, 2005." Now the stats to the "classic" SETI have not been posted since Oct 14, 05 or thereabouts. Is this the final "shutdown" phase? Finally, "boinc" is not clear to me all. Can I get some advice on this? Just about ready to call it quits. rt |

Classic Seti and Boinc Seti Stats are totally different and are not linked. SetiBOINC contains a snapshot of Seti classic stats, which - as you noted correctly - was made March 15. Next snapshot is announced for the final shutdown of Seti classic. So nobody will loose their Seti classic ranks. The date for the shutdown of Seti classic, however, is not yet determined. In fact, this issue is discussed in this thread at the moment. By the way: You can access the Seti classic homepage here. Just checked my "boinc" account. It still has not been posted since "March, 2005." It appears that you have not actually attached any computers to the SETI project from within BOINC. If you do not attach to the project, you will not be processing any workunits and therefore not get any credit. To learn how to attach to a project, please see the BOINC Wiki. |
