Hello and welcome joker! The (very good) manual for Boinc is the BoincWiki by Paul D. Buck and Friends. For information regarding Credits look here! Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

Don't have an answer, as this interface is very strange. My iMac has been crunching away at data for many hours and I show no results or credits. |

For detailed answers, see the WIKI - quick answer is that "pending" means your work has been done and returned to the server, but the server has not yet decided how much credit to award you for those units. Kurt, you have 3 units (at this moment) completed and "pending", with 9 more still on your computer. Joker, you have 2 units complete with credit awarded, 4 units "pending", and 1 still on your computer. I see no problems on either, other than Kurt, you may possibly have "connect to every" set too high in the web-page preferences - suggest .1 if you have always-on connection, smallest you can get away with if you have dial-up. This is the setting that determines how many work units you get at one time, and having too many runs the risk of missing the deadline. The validators on the servers are running very slow right now due to outages and problems - it may well be several days before credit is awarded for currently pending units. Be patient! Also, it is a good idea to sign up for more than one project - if you are only doing SETI, look at adding another Mac-friendly one. I suggest Einstein as the obvious next choice, or SZTAKI if you don't mind the website being in Hungarian at the moment. Look at projects with much larger work units once you are more familiar with BOINC. |
