Downloaded and installed Fedora, using the Gnome GUI. Downloaded the Bionic Client, was able to unzip it and save it to a directory. Double clicking in the GUI tells me that its not associated with anything and can't run.

The instructions on the Bionic site state to use chmod, but doesn't say what to do with it. I read through some of the posts here and see that I need to run Bionic from a commandline.

Any advice for a Linux newbie other than go back to Windows? And yes I'll take a crash course in Linux command line language next time I can work on the system.

Thanks

Nevermind... I see the answer in another post, just didn't look long enough!!

BOINC, not "Bionic".

@SethW,
try chmod 700 (rwx------) boinc_ as user who is running the client . This should work ... ;)
