"I Won't Say A Thing At All" i think about you sometimes in the middle of the day and wonder where the time has gone i dream about the moments we never thought to take there's nothin' there to leave so why move on? i could have said so many things you could have said so many things the time has passed to my regret what we had back then is all we'll get i see your face in random dreams i'll pretend it don't mean anything the time has passed for me to call so i won't say a thing at all i wonder 'bout the life we missed while i'm sitting home alone and think about the tragedies of life i hold on to the moments i looked into your eyes but the past can't be revived 'cause it's all gone i could have said so many things you could have said so many things the time has passed to my regret what we had back then is all we'll get i see your face in random dreams i'll pretend it don't mean anything the time has passed for me to call so i won't say a thing at all (2009 db michel) |

I'm afraid Adrian Mitchell can't respond as he is no longer with us Poet Adrian Mitchell As he was a pacifist his poem would speak for all the wars and conflicts that still go on, which is why I posted it. I guess you have your own thoughts on Vietnam, would be interesting to see more of your poetry :) |

Saw this one of Charles Causley once in the tube: I saw a jolly hunter With a jolly gun Walking in the country In the jolly sun. In the jolly meadow Sat a jolly hare. Saw the jolly hunter. Took jolly care. Hunter jolly eager- Sight of jolly prey. Forgot gun pointing Wrong jolly way. Jolly hunter jolly head Over heels gone. Jolly old safety catch Not jolly on. Bang went the jolly gun. Hunter jolly dead. Jolly hare got clean away. Jolly good, I said. |
