Works great, still will not tell you which host your in when you use select computer to check other hosts in your PHARM....On the first connection when thefirewall wants to know if it is to be allowed to connect, the connection drops and I must restart BOINC. >And why in the About BOINC Manager box it says : Version 4.35 ??? Rom's finger slipped when typing in the version number. He is in the process of correcting it. |

Working great here for about 9 hours now. 98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8 And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer. |

I noticed the mis-match between the installer name and the version that was actually installed too. Still can't install as a service to run as a named account other than the logged on user (administrator), which I will not allow. So the workaroung of install to run as admin, then changing to LocalSystem Account must still be used. Saw some interesting messages concerning scheduling. Wonder where an explaination might be found? |

Folks, please avoid installing this build right now, I messed up with the installer file and it is the raw development branch. A new scheduler has been checked in and it might due something funny. ----- Rom BOINC Development Team, U.C. Berkeley My Blog |

As always, this is a development-build that haven't been through alpha-testing yet, so funny things can happen... So don't complain if your computer starts eating the desk... :) |

I saw same thing and then found that instead of restarting you can use "select computer" and type in localhost to get it connected again. - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

"WARNING" Hell Fire can erupt from your hardware, if Ye dare, use "Alpha" developmental software. So, Ye be warned. Stick with "Official" release clients unless you like it HOT. How's that Tim? |
