Byron, there's an another song I will play for you, a song from 1500' Italy. It's so beautiful, one of these songs that makes your life more beautifull and soothes your soul just by listening. [url=http://icking-music-archive.org/scores/misc/Ryckeghem/altatri.pdf]Alta Trinita beata<a> and it sounds like [url=http://www.agsm.edu.au/~bobm/hazel/funeral/alta.html]this<a>, sung by a choir regretfully with a not so ambitious conductor. (There's not so much dynamic in it!) Yes, I'm a sucker for these 1500' composers, I must admit!!! "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ![]() |

Hi Byron, I wanted to post a message somewhere just for you, and the ANZAC thread isn't appropriate (out of respect for the dead). Just wanted to let you know that I've visited Vancouver (and Victoria, and Salt Spring Island) a couple of times now, and that if I was ever to emigrate from NZ, BC would be it! :) Hope you're having a lovely spring, please post the "today in news" info!!! :) |

Ralph Abernathy and 100 others are arrested while picketing a Charleston, South Carolina hospital to support unionization. 1974: "Carnation Revolution" ends 48-year military dictatorship, Portugal. 1982: Women lay wreath for all women of all countries raped in war, Canberra, Australia. 1983: One hundred seventy-five women arrested for marching to mourn the rape of women in war, Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. 1993: Over one million join march in Washington, D.C. for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender rights. |

Byron, I've found adults who failed kindergarden common sense, let alone the Modern English. If you can read the Bard, you're better of than any other Gringo. [spotting the disapprovéd peanut gallery, exunt stage righte] |

Agreed, and the sad thing is that we keep making new wars. There are way too many people prepared to do that to others, I appreciate you and like you the way you are. :) :) > please excuse me .. and forgive me .... for some more Carl thoughts ... I like the Carl thoughts. Actually, I think Carl was really cute. :) :) > ... Magenta ... please excuse my grammer and spelling __ :) I see very little problem with your words. Honestly, you are an English genius compared to quite a few university student undergraduates, where I have had the misfortune to be assigned to mark their assignments. At this stage in my life, I appreciate anyone who can string a sentence together. :) :) And you're Canadian (or, at least, living in Canada) so that gives you lots of brownie points with me. :) :) > My very best wishes to .... Magenta And to you too pal. So is it another 6-8 months before you can skate on the lake at Stanley Park again? > friendly and respectful > byron You always are Byron, always a pleasure to see you on the boards. :) :) :) |

It doesn't matter if it's written in english or french. People are so busy being unpleasant to the rest of the world that sometimes I have wondered if there were people like you left. As you can see, there's a still hope for our specie. :) Lisset NA: Do you speak spanish? |
