Man, Could you have made it a little more complicated? I am at my wits end. I have about had it. The only way I will do this is you e-mail me. I didn't get a warning or nothing. You haven't updated my e-mail address and I did that last year before the March 2005 deadline. Everything was working fine. I already have a Seti blank screen burn in on my monitor. Not gouging to have one on my new one! My old e-mail address is dteer@cris.com. If you want me to do this then send e-mail to me you should find my new e-mail address under the old one. Hell I do not know what the hell is going on. I thought I did but going back and forth to site one to site two then downloading this and that! Then Einstein...I have had it. After of being a member and leader of a group called Nurses and friends and having a lot of work units I give up. I have 3 computers to scan. You used to beg us to do this. Guess you don't need to beg anymore. Well I have had it. I have tried and tried nothing works. So I have changed my screen saver after 5 years to slideshow of personal pictures. So it will stay like this unless I hear from you by e-mail. If not April 1st it all gets un-installed. So if I do not hear from someone from Seti this will my good bye to you. So just in case good bye. |

> When looking for a solution a description of the problem is helpful. > > To look for answers on your own try Paul's docs at > http://boinc-doc.net/index.php > Ok I will try one more time……I have posted I have e-mailed never got a reply back. First of all I updated my e-mail account with Seti last year. They still have me listed with my old address on the new site. The old site is updated and works fine. I was never able to make the import or change. I start a new account, which I tried to see if my team would automatically would be found. But no. So that is one thing. The second thing is I cannot connect with Seti anymore. I was doing oat manually for a while but the last week has been a nightmare. I mean it is not clear what the hell is going on or what to download. I saw what I thought would be correct and it never has worked. In fact I really do not want to be a part of it anymore since no one will answer me about my account on Seti old site that was up and running and got a scan report only a few days ago. I found out there was a problem after someone was trying to join my team. It just isn't worth all this crap. I mean the people that built it sure it is easy for them. But a guy that comes in for the past 5 years and Seti has ran by itself for many years with no problems would think that that you would download an update and it would give you and take you where you needed to be and updated to the point you needed to be. This other crap sucks. I have already changed my screen saver anyway. I guess if they never see my Team on the old site and move it over to the new site and update me I guess I am out. I mean they updated my e-mail account and it all was working but I went to the new site and it only has my old e-mail address as my account. I do not understand when it is right there on the old site. What is the problem? I really do not want to start all over again. That is just me. I did a lot of work to have it end this way, I do not want to be a part of it again and have the same thing happen again. I am usually like that. Screw me once that all it takes. I usually don’t touch a hot stove twice. Sop if you cannot fix it from this.... See YA.... good luck... |

> I mean what does.... ....Mean? It means that the servers at Berkeley are unable to respond because of connectivity problems at their internet provider. But then this isn't mentioned prominently on the SETI@Home homepage which you didn't pass through on your way here.... TTFN - Pete. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So what does that mean? Are they not working on it? Are they going to fix it? Have they moved to the new site? Is that site # 2 is that the new site? I read that the server was running fine no problems which was the first thing I did. It is really hard to know they have a problem when they say they don't! How would one know that there really is a problem? Nevertheless Sure would be nice for them to post it right on the front page where everyone could see it. It only takes about 1 minute to do such.....Well I will hang out a little longer and if it doesn't start working by the first of the month I give up....Ok thanks for your help. TTFN Dr. DWT |

They have to get their ISP to do the work, and there is not a service level agreement (those cost much more money which is in very short supply). The ISP will be looking at the problem starting early this week. ![]() ![]() BOINC WIKI |
