Spring has finally sprung.... the ice is breaking up in the rivers and the lakes will soon follow. Soon, we will have lots of open water again and fishing will get better each day.

Got my first rainbow of the season, picked up this nice buck right where a river dumped into a lake.

I put him right back after the pic, and I hope to find him again somewhere farther up river later in the year.

byron,

Being a fisherman, I well understand the ....uh, ...tendencies of other fishermen.

No apologies needed... 'rules' , if they are not rules of conduct while on a boat, are treated like mere suggestions and are not meant to inhibit one's being able to enjoy themselves.

For me, fishing is foremost about camraderie, having a good time and getting the priviledge of maybe sometimes eating a fish.

Worries and toil are not conducive to one's piscatorial enjoyments...

Our coast to the north of you only changes by typically having a little colder water temps, I hope someday to fish again off yours.

I commercial troll fished, back in the three mile limit days, and have spent many a week off Vancouver Island. Beautiful place, and I hope, still as good for fishing.

Best of wishes to you also, byron, and good fishing to ya.

>>>...feet from my doorstep...

It's been worth it to be sure
For me
To be feet from my doorstep
From the spot where you live

The farthest corners always harbor
The farthest watchers
The view from the edges so similar
From wherever vantage

You're lucky to have found that spot
Enjoy...cc
