I'm not but I've read at this fora that oc corrupts somehow the results and they may be validated as 'invalid' because of it. Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

> and Sänger, im not overclocking. > Sind nur standard PCs. > Also keine Chance... Tja...nun...ähem...sagen wir es mal so...ja nee, is klar! I've not the faintest why -480 was invalid. But the allmighty validator decided this way ;-) Old CC? Bad connection? Fate? Don't ask me! Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

> > 480 just showes invalid, so you have a problem on your end....... > I doesnt show invalid... > he??? > really dont understand it... As you can see in my first post, the validator decided that both of your results are 'invalid' (Validate state Invalid). There is nothing else for us crunchers to see, so no way to know why. But as the granted results of one WU have to be similar, your's seem to be 'different', thus no cradit granted. But as I said, I've not the faintest... You need to look at the result, not just the WU. Its the first column in the results list, the column marked "Result ID". If you're looking at the WU, again, its the first column, "Result ID". Click the link to get details. Both results show "Invalid" for validate state - probably these results didn't match the others. One of them shows "No heartbeat from core client for 41.580000 sec - exiting" followed by a bunch of "Can't acquire lockfile - exiting" messages, which looks like something was messed up on your system right then. If BOINC is still running and you have those WU's in the messages log, or the old one in stdout.old, look for where the WU's started and finished. And where the one kept getting restarted. Might be able to tell what was going on right then. The WU name to look for is: 9303382 - 14mr04ab.14329.17042.498562.32_0 9303480 - 26dc04aa.2077.8114.754822.23_3 You'll probably see a different ending like ....23_3_0 and ....32_0_0. |

The ones that seem to have the most problems are where there are multiple problems with the download of units that has frequently occurred the past couple of days. Hopefully they'll get the server problems ironed out soon. Some examples where I got 0 credit even after processing the work unit for a typical amount of time: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=9701322 http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=9701235 |
