*puts SAH on the back burner*

well, since SAH seems to be having problems (validation, # of WUs, etc...) i'll go ahead and let predictor and CP take the stage.

If you read the rest of this thread and noticed the server status indicating there are no WU's to send out that is why you cannot download WU's :o\

From the Homepage:

February 4, 2005
We will restart the database migration to the new hardware Monday, January 7, at 18:00 UT. The outage will be several hours long. Currently, workunit production is falling behind demand. The splitters themselves are able to keep up but are not able to insert work fast enough because of competition for database access.

So let's hope.......and be patient.

Those of you who complain about not getting enough notice about upcoming outages should be very happy. January 7th is 11 months away, and should be plenty of notice.

LOL

Soooo, that's where all the WU's went...
Half an hour later the server page shows only 1 WU ready to be sent (really!).

I got 3 WU's today, which is enough for me.

You better hang onto it. I remember I paid about $3600 for my 486DX66 system. Of course I did have to buy all those ISA cards (modem, I/O, graphics, etc).

Mac Plus with 4MB RAM and a dead screen at a Mac User Group flea market: $10.00
Apple Mac Plus Keyboard on eBay: $8.50 bid
A working Mac Plus 1MB RAM, an Apple HD SC20 hard disk, and the original mouse that would have been thrown away the following meeting: $0.00
Having a twenty-year-old computer that boots faster than my one-year-old laptop: Priceless.

.o0(I'm still not sure if I want to upgrade the working Mac to 4MB - Hafta snip a jumper, and I don't really wanna do that...)
