The enclosed language-template.ini file hasn't been updated in a long time. It contains obsolete messages, and doesn't contain some new ones. With this old version it's hard to translate Boinc messages to other languages. Can a new version be uploaded somewhere, so we don't have to wait for its inclusion with a new Boinc version? Otherwise the translations always lag behind. ![]() |

The new boinc manager uses a new localization system. You can download the sources at boinc.berkeley.edu and translate the .po files under clientgui/locale. KEINE PANIK |

Does this mean that language.ini has no effect anymore? ![]() |

> Does this mean that language.ini has no effect anymore? language.ini is still working with BOINC 4.13 and 4.14. The next generation of Core Client and GUI (4.5x), currently under development will use a little bit different System with this .po files. You may have a look on the german version. It is more recent then the template. Greetings from Bremen/Germany Jens Seidler (TheBigJens) ![]() |

Translating the .po file seems to be a bit more difficult. It contains a lot of error messages I've never seen. Without seeing them in the proper context it's a bit of a guess. And they have to fit in their window. ![]() |

There are different tools to edit po-files. You may look for poEdit or UniRed³ for example. KEINE PANIK |
