Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I remember when I was young a group of us sitting around in a neighbor's garage contemplating the existence of life on other planets. Back then it seemed foolish that rational adults would not consider extraterrestrial life. Mathematically speaking, I think it is feasible that there is life elsewhere in the universe. Maybe not little green men or even grey's with big eyes but somewhere there is intelligent life out there. It seems foolish to not listen. Of course, maybe we should all be doing SRV too, but that's another story. For now I'll see how much I can contribute to this supercomputer project called SETI@home and maybe Dr. Sagan will hear my thoughts out there in the ether world.
