Personal background
Hi, I'm Dominik. I'm from Germany, 16 years of age... I'm using computers since I was 6 (xmas 1993), so I've been able to grow up to a real expert in computer stuff, u know!? In my (spare) freetime I'm doing some website creating stuff and I try to stay up-to-date in the latest news from science (esp. physics)...
I also enjoy listening to music... without it I can't work (I really noticed that the last days, as I had not enough time and cpu capacity to run an additional task to play some music...)
As teenagers do, I do a lot of videogaming (mostly online since i've got my connection to the www in the end of jan04...) and i use emoticons, such as :) ^^ and so on in chats, emails, sms and stuff...
well, if you wanna get to know me, dont hesitate to get in touch... it would be a pleasure for me to get to know u, esp. if you dont come from germany ^^ ... for that reason ive added my email adress and my icq number...

email: dhertel@gmx.de

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yeez, I do... there are so many star systems out there... there HAS TO BE extraterrestrical life... there is a very good chance of gettin in touch with "aliens" in this century (at least i hope that :)

2. Yeez, they should transmit the following things: prime numbers, basic elements of every important language, sayin were on a goodwill mission... so the aliens know that were a peaceful (*lol*) and intelligent (*rofl*) race (if they can translate it... but i think they can, if they are able to get our - primitively transmitted - message)

3. I'm supporting this programme because I think it helps scientific research (it actually DOES. look at the statistics and see how much cpu time is saved every day)... and mebbe I will discover an alien signal - who knows
