Hi All,
I am Csaba from Hungary.
I was born in 1977.
I am an electrical engineer. I work in facility management and in many ways my work is part of my hobbies. I like tinkering in my basement with electronics, wall clocks and generally enjoy building and repairing things.
I also have a few computers at home - most of them helping SETI@Home - all of them Linux.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My thoughts on SETI@Home:
I have been delegating processing power to SETI@Home and a few other BOINC projects for a few years now. In the beginning on Windows and for the last 2-3 years on Linux only.
Why I am doing this? Why not? The computers I am donating processing power from are running anyway and I can live with the slight extra power consumption. I like the feeling of "doing something for the cause".
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
