I do not think that extraterrestrial life does exist, so according to my opinion all our efforts to try to find such are in vain. I participate in this project to share in proving my statement. There is no harm in sending beacons or searching for them, but I do not think we will find someone out there or will be found by someone. The SETI project, and the SETI@home project is a good thing to show what we are able to do when we cumulate our computer time for one project.
