Personal background
Hello aliens!

I'm from New Jersey but am currently living in Rhode Island. I'm 36, a musician/artist and my hobbies are the same as my occupation. I'm a singer/guitarist inspired by Green Day and My Chemical Romance and my current project is a comic book called "Beloved".

Now... PUH-LEASE don't probe me.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I feel that the idea of humans being so special that we're the only "intelligent" species in the universe is narcissistic and ridiculous. As a species, we like to think we're "unique" and "special" and, perhaps, that is what gives us meaning. I, however, don't think we're so one-of-a-kind. Time will tell, I suppose. As for the project, I feel SETI is one of the few projects out there that seeks to answer something that many may find ludicrous, others find all-encompassing, and still others lack an opinion about. The existence of alien life. I would imagine that SETI itself is and/or can be quite worthy of debate. Is it worth the time? Is it worth the money? A million other questions must swirl around the existence of such a project. Using home computers and volunteers is a stroke of ingenuity that will not only speed up any results but, most certainly, cut costs thus offering a bit of defense to SETI's run.
