Profile: Nilanse Johansson

Personal background
I'm born in 1978 and live in a small town named Sala in Sweden. My interests are computers, games, watching movies, be with friends, travel, reading and writing. Right now I'm trying to write a book. A sci-fi story with parts of adventure and fantasy. That is my plan for the future - to become an author.
My father was swedish and mother is from the beautiful paradise Sri Lanka. When I was there in 2001 I had the privilege to meet my favourite author, sir Arthur C Clarke. He is a very fascinating old man. And the most foremost science fiction author in our time.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If extraterrestrial life exists I do not know. But it is possible. I think it will take time before we discover it. If ever. It could be so that if tere are intelligent lives out there, they might already have discovered us. The time maybe isn't right for us, the humans, yet.
If we some day make contact, I'm more worried about what the humans would do. I'm sure there could be more intelligent life out there. And then I mean more intelligent than the human. Today our leaders in this world only knows how to start new wars or making up new weapons. Maybe the ET:s could teach us the way of peace, how to feed all the starving people and of course new useful technologies.

I use SETI@home because I find it interesting. I am intereseted in sci fi, new technologies and if I could help some how, then I would be more than happy to do so. If this project is to any use it should go on.
