Personal background
Hi!!! I'm a watchmaker and factory worker from Upper Sandusky, Ohio. I'm 40, never married, no kids (still hope for me though, I hope!! :). I have a dog named Duke and a cat named Chessie (after the cat on the Chessie System train cars if you can remember that). My hobbies are photography, weight lifting, going to auctions, going to antique shows, postcard collecting (my home-town and county), working on my house (when time permits), going to auto races and car shows, and about anything else I can find time to do. I have a webpage if you would like to view it: http://www.1969scode.com/me2.htm

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't think life exists beyond this planet, I know it does. The question is are we ready for what we find. Will the first species we encounter be kind and benevolent, or will they make the Borg of Star Trek look like a kindergarten class?? I think this planet must be united before we can present ourselves to another race. Think how much more we could have accomplished by now if we ALL worked together instead of fighting all the petty wars. Great things are only a few years away if we could just all work together. Faster than light speed data transfer has already been accomplished in the laboratory, star travel is but one step away. We need to get the affairs here in order, then work together to take that next step into deep space. Who knows, perhaps WE will be the ones someone else is listening for one day!!!
