I will be 22 years old as of October 2013 A.D., I enjoy reading on various topics from poetry to science fiction. I watch television but mostly for the news and the occasional TV show that I like. I am a person who works better in and group and told what to do rather than a leadership role.
Right now I am not attending college due to financial restraint, so I'm quietly looking for a job to fill my time.
I indulge in an occasional nip or two of alcohol, but I don't condone over-drinking or recreation drinking as a habit.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. SETI@home allows me to contribute to an understanding of the universe that has and will take centuries too fully flourish to it's peak. If by chance it was to pick something up i would know that i was a small contributing factor to that outcome.
2. My opinion is that it is a valid and honorable thing to allow everyday people a chance to participate in a program that could shape history to years to come.
3. Perhaps we should try and start a grassroots campaign or publication on kickstarter.com to spread more influence and widen our base of computer operations to people who have spare room on the computer systems? Maybe organize regional or local fan clubs who can get together and promote and combine resource to benefit S.E.T.I?
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
