Profile: Star Drive in Wapiti

Personal background
We are just an average couple who have a pretty good computer but don't use it to its full potential. Common sense tells us we couldn't be the only intelligent life, hopefully whatever life is also in our universe is more intelligent then we seem to be at the time. We also feel that believing that other intelligence exist does not conflict with believing in God, despite what Stephen Hawkings says.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We are happy to donate our computer's idle time to a such worthwhile project. Lets say some other intelligent life on the otherside of the Milky Way galaxy was also doing this type research, would they pick up the transmissions from earth? Just an uneducated question. Wouldn't it be wild if we were the most advance intelligent life out there? Hard to believe.
