Profile: Andres A. Buendia Ucros

Personal background
Hi. I'm Andres A. Buendia Ucros I'm Colombian, born at Bogota D.C. on May 4 1970.
I work for the biggest ISP in our country as Engineering Project Manager. Kind of creepy if you think that I am M.D. Ph.D. M.B.A. Uhh I don't know why but Inter-Networking makes me crazy, gives me more money and more spare time to do other things like skydiving & squash.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Off course extraterrestrial life exists, we cannot be the lone rangers in the universe. Kind of complicated to say when and how we humans will discover it, maybe tonight maybe some years. All I hope is to still be alive when it happens. The benefits or dangers of finding alien life are out of my mind. I think if we find them it would possibly be in a far galaxy so it will take too much time to have a contact.
What we will do if we're lost? Like in the old tale... Drop some bread and hope to find it again. Maybe someone could find it too... That kind of bread may have a human male and female portrait and some binary code giving our planet's possition in the galaxy.
I run SETI@home as some helping hand processing information to find that alien life out there.
